WHO ARE WE?

Plume is the trading name of Plume Law Limited, a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 12666099 with its registered office at 7 Bell Yard, London, WC2A 2JR.

We’re an alternative legal services provider (ALSP).

‍WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?

Our solicitors are qualified and regulated as individuals in the same way as any solicitor within a traditional law firm. However, unlike traditional law firms, as a business we are not authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA).

For the type of legal work we do, our clients benefit greatly from working with an ALSP. We can offer clients the reassurance of working with qualified and experienced professionals without incurring the full cost of a traditional law firm service.  

PROFESSIONAL INDEMNITY INSURANCE

We carry PI insurance to cover our work in the same way any reputable business would. This means, in the unlikely event that we make a mistake, insurance is in place to protect you.

Because we’re an ALSP, our PI insurance doesn’t need to meet the minimum standards of cover required by the SRA, but we work closely with our brokers to ensure the work we do is suitably covered.
